HOW CAR LOCKOUT SERVICE WORKS
-
Call or Request Online
We answer within 30 seconds, day or night. Confirm your make, model, year, and exact location so we dispatch the right tools.
-
Technician Dispatched to You
Your nearest licensed technician drives to your parking lot or roadside location. Median Central Texas arrival: 18 to 22 minutes.
-
Damage-Free Entry. Drive Away.
We assess the door and use the correct non-destructive tool for your vehicle. Most entries take 10 to 20 minutes on site. You drive away.
WHAT DAMAGE-FREE MEANS ON A REAL VEHICLE
No Scratched Paint. No Bent Door Frame.
The coat-hanger method bends door frames. Hardware-store wedges tear weatherstripping. Either approach can trigger side airbag sensors on vehicles built after 2010, a repair that runs $800 to $2,000. Our technicians carry long-reach tools and bypass kits matched to specific door profiles. A Ford F-150 does not get the same tool as a Toyota Camry or a Tesla Model 3.
We work in Austin parking lots, on MoPac shoulders, in Round Rock shopping centers, and outside Cedar Park apartment complexes. Texas summer heat means we also work fast. A car interior hits 130 degrees in less than 30 minutes on a 95-degree Austin day. We show up, assess the vehicle, and get the door open - no dramatic back-and-forth, no surprise charges.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long does it take to unlock a car?
Most car lockouts are resolved in 10 to 20 minutes from our technician's arrival. Standard manual-lock vehicles take 8 to 12 minutes. Newer vehicles with advanced passive entry systems or push-button-start may take 15 to 25 minutes. Our median drive time to you in Central Austin is 18 to 22 minutes, so total time from your call is typically 30 to 45 minutes.
Will you damage my car or scratch the paint?
No. We use professional automotive lockout tools designed for specific door frames and weatherstripping. Coat hangers and hardware-store wedges damage weatherstripping and can bend door frames - our tools do not. If non-destructive entry is not possible on a specific vehicle configuration, we tell you before we start and quote the alternative.
Can you unlock push-button-start vehicles and smart-key cars?
Yes. Most push-button-start vehicles still have a mechanical lock cylinder on the driver door or a hidden keyhole behind a panel. We carry bypass tools for all major makes from 1995 forward, including vehicles with passive entry systems. Call us and confirm your make, model, and year before we dispatch so we bring the right kit.
My child or pet is locked in the car. What should I do?
Call 911 immediately if the child or pet shows any distress or if the car interior temperature is a concern. Texas car interiors reach 120 degrees within 10 minutes on a 90-degree day. After calling 911, call us at (888) 601-6005 - we dispatch immediately and coordinate with emergency services. Do not wait for us if the situation is life-threatening.
Can you make a replacement key if I lost all my keys?
Yes. We carry key cutting equipment and transponder chip blanks on each service vehicle. For most vehicles from 1995 to 2015, we cut and program a replacement key on site in 30 to 60 minutes. Newer vehicles with proximity fobs or encrypted key systems may require dealer coordination for the programming step, but we handle the lockout and cutting portion on the spot.
Do you serve my location in Round Rock, Cedar Park, or Pflugerville?
Yes. From our Central Austin dispatch we cover Round Rock and Cedar Park via MoPac or I-35 in approximately 20 to 25 minutes, Pflugerville in 22 to 28 minutes, Georgetown in 25 to 32 minutes. We serve 36 Texas markets total. Call us and we confirm your exact location and give you an honest drive time before we roll.
Is your technician licensed to work on vehicles in Texas?
Yes. Texas DPS Locksmith License License #B19847 covers automotive lockout service. Every technician dispatched is employed by and insured through Pros On Call. We carry that credential on every job and show it on request. We do not subcontract.
