WHAT WE INSTALL AND SERVICE
Fabric Roll-Up Doors
PVC and polyester curtain doors rated 200,000-500,000 cycles. 60-100 in/sec. Ideal for interior zone separation, clean rooms, and cold storage.
Rigid Panel and Spiral Doors
Insulated aluminum or steel panels for exterior loading docks with weather and wind load requirements. R-8 to R-16 available. 36-60 in/sec.
Drive Systems and Controls
Variable frequency drive motors, loop detectors, RFID triggers, photo-eye sensors, and building management integration for hands-free operation.
Service and Maintenance
Quarterly and semi-annual maintenance agreements. Emergency repair for curtain tears, drive failures, sensor faults, and breakaway bottom bar resets. All major brands.
HOW A HIGH-SPEED DOOR PROJECT WORKS
-
Call or Request Online
We answer within 30 seconds. Tell us the door brand, approximate size, and whether it is an emergency or a scheduled install.
-
Site Assessment
A licensed technician visits the facility, measures the opening, checks overhead clearance and power supply, and confirms the right door type for your cycle volume.
-
Proposal and Lead Time
We provide a written proposal with door specs, installation timeline, and maintenance options. Most fabric roll-up doors ship in 4-6 weeks; some models are available sooner.
-
Installation
Our crew installs the door, wires the drive and safety sensors, and runs a full cycle and safety test before leaving the site. We clean up and haul away packaging.
-
30-Day Check and Ongoing Service
We return at 30 days to verify sensor alignment and drive settings under real-load conditions. Then quarterly or semi-annual service per your agreement.
DOOR TECHNOLOGY
Three Curtain Types. One Right Answer for Your Facility.
High-speed doors split into three curtain types. Each handles a different set of operating conditions. Picking the wrong one for the environment costs you in maintenance and premature replacement.
Fabric curtains (PVC and polyester)
The fastest option at 60-100 in/sec. Fabric deflects on forklift contact and re-tracks automatically. Best for interior zones: clean rooms, cold storage passages, and high-cycle partition doors. Not rated for exterior wind loads.
Aluminum slat curtains
Perforated or solid aluminum slats that roll around a barrel drum. Good insulation, suitable for exterior applications with moderate wind loads. The slats flex slightly on impact and reset manually. Spiral versions require as little as 12 inches of overhead clearance, which makes them useful in retrofits where headroom is tight.
Steel slat curtains
Heavier than aluminum, rated for higher wind loads and security applications. Slower at 36-50 in/sec but considerably more resistant to forced entry and storm damage. The right choice for exterior bays in coastal Texas within 60 miles of the Gulf where wind ratings apply.
SENSOR SYSTEMS
- Dual photo-eye beams across the opening width
- Soft-edge bottom bar with pressure sensors
- Inductive loop detectors in the concrete apron
- RFID readers for authorized vehicle triggering
- Auto-reverse on obstruction, manual chain backup
MOTOR SYSTEMS
- Variable frequency drive (VFD) for smooth acceleration and deceleration
- 1 HP to 3 HP motors depending on door weight and speed
- Battery backup for operation during power outages
- BMS integration via dry contact or Modbus on supported models

WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY
We installed two Rytec fabric doors in our distribution center. The Pros On Call crew knew the product cold. Installation took one day per door, sensors were dialed in before they left, and the doors have run clean for eight months.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW FAST DO HIGH-SPEED DOORS ACTUALLY OPEN?
Fabric roll-up high-speed doors open at 60-100 inches per second. A 10-foot-tall door clears in under two seconds. Rigid panel and spiral doors run 36-60 inches per second. Compare that to a standard sectional door at 6-10 inches per second. For a warehouse running 100 forklift cycles per day, that speed difference adds up to roughly 26 minutes less door-open time daily.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A FORKLIFT HITS THE DOOR?
Most high-speed doors ship with breakaway bottom bars designed for exactly this scenario. The bottom rail pops out of its guide channels on impact and re-inserts manually in about 30 seconds. Fabric curtain doors are even more forgiving: the fabric deflects, the door re-tracks automatically on the next open cycle, and there is no panel damage. Rigid panel doors take more force to reset and may need a technician. We carry reset parts for all major brands on our service vehicles.
ARE HIGH-SPEED DOORS PRACTICAL FOR COLD STORAGE AND FREEZERS?
Yes. Cold storage is one of the primary applications. Look for doors with heated aluminum tracks to prevent ice buildup, thermal edge seals, and an insulated fabric curtain rated for sub-zero exposure. The sub-two-second open time limits the air exchange per cycle far better than a standard sectional door. Facilities running 100 cycles per day at a 14 degrees Fahrenheit differential typically see 35-45 percent HVAC savings after installation.
WHAT IS THE EXPECTED DOOR LIFECYCLE?
Fabric roll-up doors are rated for 200,000-500,000 cycles. A facility running 100 cycles per day hits 500,000 cycles in about 14 years. Rigid panel and spiral doors are rated 300,000-500,000 cycles with proper maintenance. Motor and drive systems typically need rebuild or replacement at 150,000-200,000 cycles regardless of door type. We build maintenance intervals into our service agreements to catch wear before it becomes downtime.
WHAT BRANDS DO YOU INSTALL AND SERVICE?
We install and service Rytec, Hormann, ASSA ABLOY, TNR, and Chase Industries. We also service legacy Doorhan, Cornell, and Wayne Dalton high-speed units. Our technicians are factory-trained on Rytec System 4 and Hormann HST series drives. We carry common wear parts for Rytec and ASSA ABLOY on our service vehicles, which shortens repair time on most calls.
DO YOU OFFER SERVICE CONTRACTS FOR HIGH-SPEED DOORS?
Yes. Our commercial maintenance agreements cover quarterly sensor alignment and safety-edge testing, semi-annual drive and motor service, and annual curtain and seal inspection. Contract customers get priority scheduling, 10 percent parts discount, and 24/7 emergency response. Most high-speed door failures are preventable with consistent maintenance.
