A door with a bent track or rollers off the channel is not a problem you wait until morning to solve. The opening is exposed. The door can shift or drop if disturbed. We dispatch immediately on every emergency track call, seven days a week, 365 days a year, at the same rate we charge during business hours. No overtime surcharge. No separate emergency fee added to the invoice.

Our service vehicles carry standard residential and commercial track sections, rollers in common wheel diameters, hydraulic straightening equipment, structural lag anchors, and heavy-duty replacement brackets. WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY

Backed into my track pulling in late on a Tuesday. Door froze halfway up and I couldn't get the car out or close the garage. Called Pros On Call at 10:30 PM and the technician was there in 20 minutes. He straightened the bent section, replaced a roller that had jumped, and tested the door before he left. Same price as a daytime call. I was not expecting that.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you charge extra for emergency track repair at night or on weekends?

No. Our rate is the same 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays. A track repair or roller replacement at 2 AM costs the same as at 2 PM. We have operated this way since 2010. Track emergencies happen at any hour and we price accordingly.

My door is stuck halfway open and won't close. Is that a security emergency?

Yes. A door stuck mid-position leaves your garage and home exposed. We treat stuck-open and stuck-mid-position calls with the same urgency as a lockout. Call immediately. Do not leave for the night with the door partially open. Median Central Austin response is 14 minutes. We dispatch immediately on every call.

A car backed into my track tonight. Can you repair it the same visit?

Usually yes for residential doors. Vehicle impact typically bends the vertical track at the point of contact and may knock rollers out of position. Our service vehicles carry standard residential track sections, rollers, and hydraulic straightening tools. Minor to moderate bends can be straightened on-site. Severe kinks require section replacement - parts we stock. Most vehicle impact track repairs are completed same visit in 90 to 150 minutes.

Is it safe to force the door closed if the track is bent?

No. Do not attempt to operate a door with a bent or damaged track. Forcing it risks the rollers jumping the track completely, which can cause a 150 to 400-pound door panel to drop suddenly. Disconnect the opener by pulling the red emergency release cord and leave the door in its current position. Call us. We secure the door safely before any repair work begins.

The rollers jumped the track during normal operation. What caused that?

Rollers jump track for four main reasons: a bent or kinked track section that catches the roller wheel, a header bracket that has separated letting the track shift out of alignment, a broken cable that dropped one side of the door forcing rollers off, or severely worn roller wheels that can no longer hold the track channel. We diagnose the root cause on arrival so the fix prevents a repeat failure.

Can the track be straightened or does it need replacement?

Depends on severity. Minor bends under about 1 inch with no visible cracks or sharp kinks can usually be straightened on-site using hydraulic tools. Severe bends over 1 inch, visible cracks, or sharp kinks require section replacement for safety. We assess on arrival and give you an exact quote before work begins. Straightening: $250 to $400. Section replacement: $300 to $600.

The bracket that holds the track to the wall pulled loose. Can you fix that tonight?

Yes. Header bracket and wall-mount separation is one of the most common track emergencies we handle. We carry structural lag anchors and heavy-duty replacement brackets on every service vehicle. We secure the door first, remove the loose bracket, inspect the wall framing, and re-anchor using lag screws into studs. If the original mounting hit drywall only we add a plywood backer or steel plate to give the anchor real pull resistance.

Is your technician licensed for Texas garage door track work?

Yes. Texas DPS Locksmith License #B19847. We are bonded and insured. All technicians are direct employees of Pros On Call, not contract labor. We carry the license on every job and show it on request.
