Are these prices final?

Yes for flat-rate lockouts. Those prices are what shows up on your invoice, period. For service-call work like rekeying or lock installation, the published range is the range we charge. For garage door, access control, and door estimates, we confirm the final price on-site after a free inspection. No dispatch fee just to take a look.

When does after-hours pricing apply?

After-hours rates apply Monday through Friday from 6 PM to 8 AM, plus all day Saturday, Sunday, and major holidays. If your lockout happens on a Tuesday morning at 7:45 AM, you pay the normal rate. Call us and we will confirm which rate applies before we dispatch.

What about parts cost?

Standard hardware is included in the listed price. If you want a specific brand, say a Schlage smart deadbolt or a Kwikset with a particular finish, we quote the part separately at our cost plus a small markup. We tell you the part price before we order it. No upcharge surprises.

Why does a luxury vehicle cost more?

Luxury vehicles use proprietary lock mechanisms: BMW uses an EWS immobilizer system, Mercedes builds in infrared transponders, and Range Rover keys carry encrypted rolling codes. Unlocking them requires specialized tools and takes longer than a standard sedan. The surcharge covers the added time and equipment, not the brand name.

How do I know if I am out of area?

Out-of-area means more than 30 miles from our nearest dispatch shop. The $50 surcharge covers that extra drive time. We run dispatch from Austin, McAllen, and San Antonio, so most of the major Texas metros fall inside the standard range. Call us with your address and we will tell you in under a minute whether the surcharge applies.

Is sales tax included in the listed price?

Sales tax is added at the time of payment. Vehicle lockouts are exempt under Texas state law. All other services add 8.25% at checkout. We call this out on every invoice so there are no surprises.

What triggers the cancellation fee?

The $49 cancellation fee applies when a technician arrives at your location and the job is cancelled after arrival. It covers the drive time and the time slot we held for you. If you cancel before the tech dispatches, there is no fee.
