For vacation rentals where you cycle through guests weekly, 100 codes is more than sufficient since unused codes can be deleted at any time. If you need more than 100 concurrent codes, a networked commercial system is the right tool.

Yes. Most Wi-Fi-connected residential keypads generate temporary codes that expire after a set number of uses or at a specific date and time. A plumber can have a code that works only between 8 AM and 5 PM on Tuesday. An Airbnb guest gets a code that deactivates at checkout time. Purely mechanical PIN keypads store fixed codes that require manual deletion, so they are better suited for permanent household members than temporary visitors.

Battery-powered residential keypads are unaffected by power outages. They operate entirely on internal batteries and do not require a wired connection.
